Substance Use Disorder
Substance Use Disorder services are available as part of our integrated health services. We screen our patients as part of regular visits in primary care and behavioral health to determine patients who might benefit from these services. Self-referrals or community referrals are also welcome.
These services include substance use disorder individual and group counseling as well as community health worker support available in both our 340 Kelley Parkway, Mexico, MO and 581 Commons Drive, Fulton, MO locations, as well as medication assisted treatment (MAT) for both opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders. Our substance use disorder counselors work closely with our physicians and nurse practitioners to assist you in your recovery process.
Medications that we prescribe as part of medication assisted treatment include the following:
- Buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone) for opioid use disorder
- Naltrexone (Vivitrol) for opioid and alcohol use disorder
- Acamprosate (Campral) for alcohol use disorder
These medications assist with withdrawal symptoms management to promote sustained recovery.
